Christmas : pleasant and peaceful

For the first time my son,23,surprised me by wrapping his presents, and with well designed papers that he knew i would like. And the gifts? He bought my whole list! Two sizes of crock pot, an art print of Jefferson and Franklin, a copy of the declaration of independence, many LED candles and votives, and a crock pot cookbook...then we watched " stardust", an enjoyable fantasy on dvd after an excellent steak and lobster dinner that i cooked for us. Quite satisfying and i believe for him too. Even the cats seemed lulled by the spirit, sleeping in our laps. Since he flies to Hawaii in 2 days, a wonderful Christmas to remember.
